One Room Challenge – Week One

I am honored to be a guest participant in the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda @ Calling it Home. Each Wednesday for six weeks, 20 design bloggers will document their process as they transform a space while sharing their sources and professional advice. Then on Thursday, guest participants will have the opportunity to share their design process. I can’t wait to tune in each week to see the process of amazing bloggers completing the One Room Challenge. So much talent gathered in one place!

If you are new here…thank you for stopping by. My name is Tammy and Hey Fitzy is my happy place. As a mother of four crazy kids, I cherish everything home. Last fall I had the opportunity to participate in the One Room Challenge. You can click here to see how I transformed our builder grade master closet into something both functional and beautiful!

I am so excited to take this new opportunity to transform our builder grade kitchen pantry into something amazing! Obviously you will see that we didn’t do any big renovations in this area, and if we had to do that then we would definitely need to call in a Plumber to get all the pipes and connections sorted out as I don’t think we could have done it all ourselves, as much as we would have wanted to believe we could!

I like the idea of labeling everything. Otherwise stuff doesn’t get put back where it belongs and/or we aren’t exactly sure what each container holds. Yes…I am a little OCD like that. 🙂

My friend Joy at The Aspiring Home did a fabulous job tackling her pantry last fall for the One Room Challenge. I love her use of rolling drawers to create additional storage at the floor level.
